Happening on, as well as documenting within this rectangular drive, is our intuitive needs, fundamental emotions,  earliest memories and attachments. While stripped naked from its soft veil, the bed’s alternative essence being exposed in the form of the underneath metal framework: the rest time and individual desire bound to productivity as an organ providing driving force for the macro labor-rest-labor mechanism. The performance held at a forest, while nature tacitly cultivates a Utopian domain towards human’s primitive, furthermore speculating a future inspired by surrounding harmonious living forms.


Satur Chong, born 2001 in Malaysia, educated as a jeweller and is currently a visual artist in London. Working with wearable artefact, sculpture, photography, performance, and film, Satur's practice is a nostalgic pursue towards the dramatic intensity and meanings within the fragmented reality of everyday life.
